Honesty is the Best Policy
The teller of the truth never minds being doubted or even being intensely interrogated; for all of his responses will simply always reveal more truth.
However, on the other hand, a liar detests even being doubted or questioned as it forces him to cover up his lies!
Jesus is the absolute perfect example of the Truth; while Satan has always personified the persistent Liar!
Proverbs 17:4 A wicked doer giveth heed to false lips; and a liar giveth ear to a naughty tongue.
Proverbs 12:17 He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.
Proverbs 12:19 The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.
Proverbs 12:22 Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.
Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive. If only we would always honor the policy of speaking the truth, for it is it’s own virtue.
