Give Me Oil for My Lamp
Each night, anymore, as I turn down the lights, lie down in my bed & begin to sense the dark quietness around me; the spirit of God stirring within my soul ignites a feeling that I could literally meet the Lord in the air at any moment!
Then, I say to myself: “Lord, I must keep my Lamp lit!”
Give me oil in my lamp, keep me burning.
Give me oil in my lamp, I pray.
Give me oil in my lamp, keep me burning.
Keep me burning till the break of day.
Matthew 25:4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 ¶ And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
